COVID 19

Appointments

We are open, and available, so please do not delay in seeking medical attention for your concerns. Whilst we have had to change how we do things, we are still here to care for you and your family. The health and safety of our staff and patients remains our utmost priority. We are doing our very best to provide a timely service for all our patients, but unfortunately increased demand, means that same day appointments are not always possible. If we fail to keep our staff safe and well, we will be unable to adequately look after you too.

All appointments must be made by telephone, and we ask that you DO NOT come to the surgery if you have a cough, sore throat, fever or shortness of breath without speaking to us by telephone first. We also ask that you come alone if attending for an appointment, or only with one carer/parent/guardian in the event of requiring assistance or attending with a child.

When seeing you in person, we will take every precaution to protect your health and ensure your safety, which includes wearing masks during ALL consultations, staggered appointments and increased cleaning.

WHEN ATTENDING FOR AN APPOINTMENT, PLEASE ARRIVE AT YOUR APPOINTED TIME, WEAR A FACE MASK & USE THE HAND SANITIZER WHICH IS PROVIDED.

So from Winter 2020/21 we are making some changes:

  • ALL patients (age 13+) MUST wear a face covering, and attend at their appointment time only.
  • ANY patient with fever or respiratory symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, change in taste or smell), must not enter the surgery, unless they have been requested to do so, at a specific time, following a telephone consultation with a doctor.
  • Patients cannot be in the consultation room for longer than 15minutes for a face to face consultation.
  • We insist that you address just one problem per consultation.
  • We will be unable to provide extended face to face consultations.
  • For COVID-19 and related queries regarding schools, creches, testing, travel and workplaces, information is available on https://www2.hse.ie/coronavirus/
  • Please be patient if your appointment is delayed or interrupted, as emergencies will always take priority. We too are susceptible to illnesses and to isolation requirements.
  • We will now close for lunch from 12.30-14.00 to facilitate increased cleaning and admin. work during lunch hours.

Thank you from all of us. Your understanding and co-operation are very much appreciated and please stay safe and healthy!
